The share of renewable energy in the country’s electricity generation mix is likely to rise to around 18 per cent by 2022. IFC estimates a total climate-smart investment opportunity of $448 billion in renewable energy from 2018 to 2030.
To bring into effect a robust policy and strengthen the regulatory and enforcement capacity of the renewable energy sector in India, there is a need for trained professionals who understand the law and policies involved in the Energy sector, the procedure of implementation of the same, the various incentives, options for investment within the framework of law.
